About Nyyh
Nyyh is an online publication focusing on contemporary art, where writing about art is approached freely, experimentally and exploratively. Founded in 2023, the publication was born from the need to promote independent art discourse and strengthen the position of criticism. Nyyh encourages diverse art writing and discussion and delves into current and timeless phenomena of contemporary art.
Nyyh publishes four thematic issues a year with changing editors. In addition to the thematic issues, texts are published in the column section “Palsta”. Nyyh also organizes events, discussions and engages in other publishing activities.
Nyyh is run by Nyyh ry association, with board members Aapo Laakso (chair), Tuija Huovinen, Erika Ryppieva, Henriikka Reitala ja Lotta Roiha (2025-2026).
